Batman Through the Years

Batman has had many forms through the years.  From dark, to quirky, to even campy and nipply.  The New York Film Academy created this info-graphic that sums up the last 70 Years of Batman.

As silly as it was, the 60’s Adam West Batman is still a favorite incarnation.  While it may have strayed from the original Batman themes of justice and vengeance, it brought Batman to the masses.

One of my favorite quotes from the 60’s Batman series was when Dick ask if he could ride Bruce’s prize racing horse Waynebow:
Dick: “Bruce, let me ride Waynebow. I’m light enough.”
Bruce: “No, Dick, I couldn’t allow my own ward to ride my own thoroughbred. People might think it was funny.”
