Russia recycles MiG-15 jet engines into snow blowers. But the USA shreds our old military planes into piles of useless rubble. Our former Soviet cold war enemy is turning their swords into plowshares. Shouldn’t the USA do the same?
Seen here are pictures of old Russian MiG-15 engines attached to trucks used for snow blowers.
Here is an old USSR MiG-17 engine melting snow off of a commercial aircraft.
The MiG-15 and MiG-17 were USSR fighter jets used to engage the USA during the cold war. With all the fuss about the F-22, the ultra expensive US fighter that can’t even fly in the rain, you would think the USA recycles old war machines into something more useful. It seems only common sense to use the hundreds of trillions of tax payer’s dollars spent on military projects for something that can help the people who funded it.
Don’t count on it!
In typical wasteful fashion, instead of putting all this equipment and technology to good use, the USA military shreds it into a billion little pieces. See the following article where old US fighter planes are destroyed into tiny bits of nothing.

And because of the different materials in the mess of metal, it is impossible to recycle the scraps.
It is ironic with all the screaming matches about how we can’t spend the money to provide basic health care for the citizens of this great land that we are wasting so much by shredding trillions of dollars into landfills. Is it easier to read emails full of misinformation and lies about current health care reform? See the following link for some facts instead of myths on the health care debate.

Let’s not get snowed by insurance companies whose only concern is protecting their profit margins.
If Russia can take a MiG that use to fight the USA and turn it into a snow blower to melt ice from aircraft, we should turn our protest signs at town hall meetings into demands for better use our old military machines and US dollars so we can take care American citizens.
